Punatsangchhu-II Hydroelectric Project – Bhutan
- The Punatsangchhu-II Hydroelectric Project is a 1,020 MW run-of-river power plant located on the Punatsangchhu River located in the Wangdue Phodrang district of Bhutan.
- It is a collaborative project between the Governments of India and Bhutan.
- The project was fully commissioned in August 2025, with all six units operational.
- It features a concrete gravity dam, underground powerhouse, and six Francis turbines.
- The surplus electricity generated by the project will be exported to India.
