Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana

  • The Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PMVBRY) is an Indian government scheme launched in 2025 to boost employment generation and provide financial incentives to both new employees and their employers. 
  • The program runs from August 1, 2025, to July 31, 2027, with a budget of nearly ₹1 lakh crore. 
  • The scheme aims to create over 3.5 crore new jobs during its two-year duration, with a special focus on first-time employees in the private sector. 
  • First-time private sector workers who register with the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) are eligible for an incentive of up to ₹15,000. 
  • This amount is paid in two installments: the first after six months of employment and the second after 12 months. 
  • Businesses that hire new employees are provided an incentive of up to ₹3,000 per new employee per month. 
  • The scheme is implemented by the Ministry of Labour & Employment through the EPFO.
