LEAP-1 mission by Dhruva Space
- The LEAP-1 mission is the first commercial satellite mission by Indian space-tech startup Dhruva Space, launched on August 27, 2025, aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket.
- It uses Dhruva Space’s P-30 satellite platform to host two payloads: Nexus-01 (an AI module from Australia’s Akula Tech) and OTR-2 (a hyperspectral imager from Australia’s Esper Satellites).
- The mission, which represents a collaboration with the US, aims to demonstrate advanced in-orbit AI processing and Earth observation capabilities.
