Maharashtra launched Garud Drishti

  • ‘Garud Drishti’ is a social media monitoring and cyber intelligence project launched by the Maharashtra state government in India to combat cybercrime, misinformation, and online hate.
  • It was developed by the Nagpur Police.
  • It was officially unveiled in August 2025.
  • The project was developed through the Cyber Hack 2025 competition and is intended to curb the misuse of social media.
  • The tool was created to detect and track fraudulent activities and criminal misuse of social media, such as spreading hatred, incitement of violence, fake news, hate speech, and drug trafficking.
