SLINEX-25 – India-Sri Lanka Naval Exercise

• SLINEX-25 was the 12th edition of the bilateral India-Sri Lanka naval exercise, held in Colombo from August 14-18, 2025. 
• The exercise involved the Indian Navy ships INS Rana (Guided Missile Destroyer) and INS Jyoti (Fleet Tanker), and the Sri Lankan Navy vessels SLNS Gajabahu and SLNS Vijayabahu. 
• SLINEX-25 is conducted in two phases – Harbour phase and Sea phase. 
• The first SLINEX exercise took place in 2005. 
• SLINEX 2024 was conducted in December, 2024, at Visakhapatnam, India, under the Eastern Naval Command.
